Another ultimate rarity for aviation, airline tickets and Turkish State Airlines, Turkish Airlines collectors. An ultra rare, very early design, Ankara - Istanbul one way ticket issued on November 12, 1947 by DHY Agency Antalya Travel's Ankara Bureau. The flight cost 50 TL and was on the next day. This ticket is printed in 1947 by M. Sadik Kagitçi Matbaasi (M. Sadik Kagitçi Printing House) in Istanbul. This ticket is printed in Turkish only unlike others printed later. The back design is totally different and shows a map of Turkey and DHY destinations. The slogan on the back translates as "The shortest and the most comfortable way is by airways." It is the first example of this kind that I have ever listed. You can see the covers, inside covers, detachable small tickets 1-4 with serial number on one page (They represent the flight coupons but their exact use is unknown by me. Probably detached by crew or ground personnel for some purpose), passenger coupon and the inside back cover.
Approx. size: 18.5 x 10.5 cm. In very good condition. Do not miss this 61 years old, ultra rare piece of DHY-THY history.
